One of the most famous streets in the world, The Shambles in York is a strikingly quaint sight with its timber buildings leaning precariously together almost defying gravity. Originally home to butchers shops, it is now possibly most well known for its links to Harry Potter as the alleged inspiration for Dragon Alley and is a must see for any visitor to the city for its old-world charm.
